THE MARCH REELS
A MICRO DANCE FILM BY ALIX KUIJPERS
The March Reels was created in isolation during to the COVID 19 pandemic. The microfilm was created under mentorship from Australian Dance Theatre and was completely self devised from movement to filming to editing. The piece draws inspiration from vintage occult horror films and aims to draw abstract parallels to the "Satanic Panic" of the early 70's - 90's and the media coverage of COVID 19.
